MathMatize LTI Student Guide
A guide for students using MathMatize with a learning management system such as Canvas, Brightspace, or Moodle.
Get started with MathMatize
- Open moodle and visit the course you are using MathMatize in. Your instructor should have added at least one MathMatize activity to your course. If you don't see MathMatize, please contact your instructor.
- Click on the MathMatize activity to open it. It should open in a new tab or window and you should see the MathMatize platform.
- If this is your first time using MathMatize from your schools learning management system (LMS), a new MathMatize account will be created for you automatically.
- If the login succeeded you will be inside your instructors MathMatize classroom.
- From here you can view all the tasks your instructor has assigned to you. You can also view your progress and scores on each task.
FAQ
When I click on the MathMatize activity in Moodle, I am not logged in. What should I do? This might happen if the activity has not been configured correctly. Please contact your instructor and ask them to check the activity settings. For example it must open a new window/tab.
I already have a MathMatize account in which I have paid for access or made progress in, can I transfer that to my new LMS account? Yes, you can merge your accounts. Please visit the "Account" tab in your MathMatize account settings and follow the instructions to merge your accounts.
When I visit the MathMatize classroom I see a warning about an "Invalid account" This means you are logged into MathMatize with an account that is not linked to your LMS. Please follow the instructions in the warning to merge your accounts.
